Guwahati, 24th October: One person has been arrested in connection with the murder of an e-rickshaw driver in Guwahati’s Hengrabari.
The arrested individual has been identified as Tileswar, who is also an e-rickshaw driver.
The victim has been identified as Khagen Das, a resident of Nalbari district.
Sources have revealed that a scuffle occurred earlier this morning between Tileswar and a woman.
When Das attempted to intervene and break up the altercation, Tileswar resorted to attacking him.
He allegedly stabbed Das multiple times which ultimately led to his death.
This incident took place near the LP school in the Hengerabari area.
Upon discovering the lifeless body in a pool of blood, passersby promptly informed the police.
The Dispur police arrived at the scene upon receiving the information and recovered the body for post-mortem examination.
Tileswar has purportedly confessed to the murder, leading to his arrest by the police.
