Guwahati, 21st November: In a tragic incident, a middle-aged was allegedly crushed to death after being run over a tanker truck in Narengi area of Guwahati on Monday night.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. However, it is learned that he was a local businessman.
As per reports, the deceased man was run over by a tanker truck bearing registration number ‘AS 25FC 2596’.
Sources revealed that the driver of the truck fled the scene immediately following the incident.
Following the incident, city police arrived at the scene and recovered the body for post-mortem.
Currently, the body of the deceased is being kept at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for further proceedings.
