Guwahati: The body of a missing person has been recovered from a water body at Panikhaiti area of Guwahati on Friday.
The body was recovered after 2days he went missing.
The victim has been identified as Chandra Namasudra who was reportedly missing since June 22.
According to reports, Namasudra went missing after he went fishing with his brother in the early morning of June 22.
Reportedly, the locals spotted the body and informed the police officials.
On getting information, the Panikhaiti Police Outpost arrived at the spot and recovered the body.
Meanwhile, the body has been sent to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post mortem and further investigation into the matter is underway.
