Guwahati Murder Case: Disposed Body Parts Found In Meghalaya

Guwahati: In an update in the Shraddha Walkar like murder case that took place in Guwahati, the victims’ body parts that had been disposed of by the accused in Meghalaya have now been recovered by the police.

According to reports, Meghalaya Police confirmed that the body parts of the murder case were located near Wei Sawdong Falls in the state’s Cherrapunji.

A team of Assam Police officers reached the scene to conduct an investigation into the murder case, and after launching a recovery operation, a bag containing the body parts was found. The operation was assisted by Meghalaya’s Sohra Police, reports mentioned.

In further information in regards to the murder case, it has now come to the fore that the two accomplices of Bondona Kalita, Arup Deka and Dhanjit Deka are also residents of Guwahati. While Arup Deka resided in Guwahati’s Khanapara, Dhanjit Deka is a resident of Narengi locality.

Furthermore, according to information from the police, the vehicle used by the murderers to dispose of the body pieces after the murder has been recognised as a “Hyundai XCENT” vehicle. The car’s registration number read AS 01 JC 5795.

Dhanjit Deka tried to escape Guwahati after committing the murder, but he was arrested in Tinsukia along with the car. The Tinsukia Police have custody of the vehicle after seizing it. As per the police officials, the accomplice in the murder, Dhanjit Deka had plans to escape to Arunachal Pradesh.

According to initial reports on Sunday, Bondona Kalita, the primary accused in a horrifying murder case, planned the murders of her husband and mother-in-law with the assistance of the two other accomplices.

They had murdered the mother – son duo, chopped their body into pieces and stuffed the parts in a refrigerator for three days before going on a spree disposing off the body parts in Meghalaya.

The incident came to light when the primary suspect briefed the authorities about the murder’s specifics after being arrested.
