Guwahati – North Guwahati Ferry Services Temporarily Halted

Guwahati: According to reports that surfaced on Thursday, the Brahmaputra River in Guwahati has seen its water level rise, causing a temporary suspension of the ferry services.

Sources claim that due to a sudden rise in the water level, the ferry service between Guwahati and North Guwahati has been discontinued.

Due to the Brahmaputra River’s rising water levels, the Inland Water Transport (IWT) has issued the order to halt ferry services.

There has been uproar among the passengers on both sides as a result of the abrupt decision to halt ferry services.

A number of ferry ramps were flooded as a result of the rising water levels.
