Guwahati: A most wanted dacoit has been arrested by Guwahati Police from Byrnihat in Meghalaya on Friday.
The dacoit identified as Binoy Das.
According to reports, Das is alleged to have been involved in a number of theft cases in Guwahati and other places.
Das recently had looted Rs 10 lakh from a woman in the Panbazar area. He was also involved in a similar case in Kokrajhar as well.
Police were able to recognize him with the help of CCTV cameras which were installed at incident locations, reports said.
It may be mentioned that he was caught on June 28 after he robbed a man in Bynihat of Rs 2 lakh and attempting to leave on his bike.
