Guwahati: Guwahati Police arrested a gang of five thieves from a dump at Bhetapara area of the city on Wednesday.
The arrestees identified as Jiyarul Islam of Moirabari, Sadek Hussain of Nagaon and Sunabar Ali, Sarbes Ali and Fajar Ali of Nalbari.
According to reports, all of them said to be involved in many cases of snatching.
It may be mentioned that a stolen electric meters, a pump and cable/wires were recovered from their possession.
