Guwahati, 23rd September: A WGPD (West Guwahati Police District) team, operating from the Jalukbari Police Station, carried out a successful raid on rented premises situated in Adil Shah Gali. During this operation, they unveiled a clandestine network involved in the disassembly of mobile phone parts received from stolen or snatched phones.
In a significant development, the team managed to recover a substantial quantity of disassembled mobile phone parts, which had been acquired through illicit means. This discovery exposed the intricate workings of a network engaged in dismantling stolen or snatched phones for resale or illegal use.
The operation resulted in the arrest of one Ahuj Ali, hailing from Murshidabad, who was allegedly involved in this unlawful activity. Furthermore, the team was able to dismantle and disrupt a gang of individuals who were acting as receivers of stolen or snatched phones.
Legal action has been initiated against the apprehended individuals as the authorities work diligently to dismantle this illegal network and bring those responsible to justice.
