Guwahati Police Crackdown on Thieves in City, 8 Arrested

Guwahati, 9th March: In a targeted campaign against thieves across various parts of the Guwahati city, the police have achieved significant success with the arrest of several individuals involved in theft activities.

Police have apprehended four thieves who are now in custody in Bhangagarh. The operation also led to the seizure of two stolen luxury cars from the possession of these individuals. The arrested individuals have been identified as Azizul Ali, Janin Uddin Ali, Amir, and Rajak Ali.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation conducted by the Fatashil Ambari police, four bike thieves were arrested. The individuals, identified as Rekibul Hussain, Samhed Ali, Zakir Hussain, and Bipal Hussain, were apprehended as part of the crackdown on vehicle thefts in the area.

The arrests come in response to the increasing incidents of thefts involving both four-wheeler vehicles and bikes reported from various parts of the city.

The police remain vigilant and continue their efforts to curb such criminal activities, ensuring the safety and security of the residents.
