Guwahati Police Declare Rs 2 Lakh Reward For Info On Ranjit Bora’s Murder
Guwahati: Guwahati Police has announced a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh in exchange for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the brutal murder of Ranjit Bora on November 21.
The Guwahati Police’s handle on social media has published an advisory and provided a phone number for people to call if they have information to share with the police. “Information can be shared on WhatsApp 6026901247,” the post read.
Meanwhile, the police have also stated that the identity of the informant will remain a secret.
It should be noted that on November 21, unidentified assailants shot and killed Ranjit Bora, the manager of well-known milk company Purabi Dairy in the Panjabari area of Guwahati.
Reportedly, he was carrying a sizable sum of cash that he planned to deposit at a bank when the incident occurred. The attackers fired at him before stealing the money.
However, two suspects were arrested by police from the crime scene but more suspects are still at large and the city police are now seeking information from the general public.
