Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs in the state Assam Police two suspected drug peddlers in Guwahati.
Following a tip off from sources the West Guwahati Police Department launched an operation in Baihata Chariali area and arrested the two accused near the Saraighat Bridge last evening and seized around 11 grams suspected heroin from the accused.
The Police officials further seized a Ford car and two mobile phones from their possession. The car is registered with the number AS 01 AR 6917
The Guwahati police took twitter and wrote, “The WGPD Special Squad arrested Rahul Ali & Rahul Ahmed, both from Baihata Chariali, near the Saraighat bridge last evening. A total of 11 gms heroin, 1 Ford car, & mobile phones were recovered from their possession. A case has been registered at Jalukbari PS.”

It may be mentioned that a case has been registered at Jalukbari Police Station into the matter and further investigation is underway.
