Guwahati, 14 June: Guwahati railway station has received the ‘Eat Right Station’ certificate. This certificate has been issued to the railway station by FSSAI in recognition of providing high quality nutritious food to passengers.
It is to be noted that the station has been able to achieve this qualification on the guidelines laid down by FSSAI. Guwahati railway station has become the first railway station of the North East Frontier Railway to get this status.
It is learnt that this certificate has been issued from June 2, 2023 to June 2, 2025.
It is to be noted that in an effort to ensure safe and healthy food to the passengers, the North East Frontier Railway has prepared several other stations to qualify in the future. These stations include Rangiya, Lumding, Tinsukia, Alipurduar Junction and Katihar.
FSSAI approves ‘Eat Right Station’ certification to railway stations that store quality food and comply with health rules. In this process, the certificate was issued to the station following the decision of a third-party audit agency listed by FSSAI.
