Guwahati: STF Raid at Khanapara Bus Stand Nets 4 Alleged Drug Peddlers; Seizes Heroin and Cash
Guwahati, 13th May: The Special Task Force (STF) in Guwahati intensifies its crackdown on drug-related activities, as recent raids targeting the Khanapara bus stand yield significant results, leading to the arrest of four alleged drug peddlers.
The apprehended individuals, identified as Parth Pratim Medhi, Amar Pradhan, Ganesh Patir, and Shahid Hussain, were found in possession of illicit substances during the operation. Police seized a substantial quantity of heroin, amounting to 105 grams, along with a sum of cash believed to be linked to the illegal trade.
In addition to the narcotics and cash, law enforcement officers confiscated five mobile phones suspected to be associated with the smuggling activities of the arrested individuals. The swift and decisive action by the STF underscores the commitment to curbing drug trafficking and ensuring public safety in the region.
