Guwahati, 26th July: In a tragic incident a youth in Guwahati city has committed suicide, leaving behind a suicide note that sheds light on the reason behind his drastic step.
Abdul Hamim, the deceased was a final-year undergraduate student at Lalit Chandra Bharali College. His body was discovered hanging in his hostel room on Santipur Masjid Road in Bharalumukh.
According to his friends the motive behind this act was an unrequited love affair. Upon arrival at the scene, a team from Bharalumukh police found Abdul’s body hanging from the fan, with a suicide note revealing the emotional turmoil he endured.
The suicide note mentioned the name of the girl, suggesting that Abdul took this extreme step due to immense emotional distress related to the love affair.
Abdul was known to be a loner and often kept to himself, mainly due to the language barrier he faced. Hailing from Nagaland, he struggled with communication in the city.
Following which the deceased’s body was sent for post-mortem, and the police continue their investigation into the incident.
