Guwahati To Host T20I Match Against South Africa on October 1
Guwahati: Guwahati’s Barsapara cricket stadium will once more host an international cricket match in October with the venues confirmed for the upcoming home series against South Africa.
The Indian cricket squad will face Australia and South Africa before the T20 World Cup, which will start on October 16.
The locations for the three-match domestic series against Australia have been chosen, hence Guwahati will once more get the chance to host a T20 international game in the series against South Africa.
According to reports, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Indore have been chosen to host the second of three Twenty20 matches on October 1.
Australia will be the opponent in a T20 series from September 20 to September 25, which will be followed by South Africa from September 28 to October 3.
It may be noted that this is the first game following the disaster at the Barsapara stadium in Guwahati in January 2020.
The first T20 match versus Sri Lanka was cancelled due to rain, and ground staff were observed using various techniques to dry the surface, which led to a comedy of errors.
