Guwahati: Unidentified Dead Body Found Stuffed in Sack in Chandmari
Guwahati, 28th October: In a disturbing incident, an unidentified dead body, concealed within a sack was recovered in Guwahati’s Chandmari area on October 28.
According to sources, the sack which bore signs of bloodstains was found near a drain close to the Assam Engineering Institute. Local residents suspect foul play and a potential murder case.
Upon recovering the blood-stained sack abandoned in the area, concerned citizens immediately informed to the police officials.
Further investigation is underway.
Earlier, another dead body was found within an autorickshaw in the Uzanbazar area of the city. The deceased has been identified as Roopam Das, a resident of Kharguli.
Reports suggest that Roopam had been struggling with drug addiction and had recently returned home during the Durga Puja festival. Family members are concerned that his death may be linked to foul play, raising suspicions of a potential murder case.
