Guwahati: In yet another sensational incident, a dead body was recovered under mysterious circumstances floating in a pond from the Bonda Chapaidong Road of Guwahati today morning.
According to reports, the body was recovered from the Sapaidang village near a brick kiln. However, the identification of the body is yet to be ascertained.
Locals suspect that the deceased was an employee of the brick kiln.
Meanwhile, Panikhaiti police officials have reached the spot and are monitoring the body.
It needs to be noted that there has been a sporadic increase of violent crimes in the city of Guwahati which have created fear in the minds of people.
It may be mentioned that in the recent past, several such cases have sent shockwave across the city. With these, the city police have recovered at least 13 bodies in last eleven days.
And also, the continuous rising number of crimes such as murder, rape, theft has become a matter of concern for the people of the city.
