Guwahati, 14th April: In a distressing turn of events, a young woman was allegedly molested while walking along a road during the evening hours in Guwahati.
The incident occurred in the Lalganesh locality of the city, raising concerns about the safety of residents, particularly women, in the area.
According to accounts of the incident, three individuals arrived in a four-wheeler and took advantage of the darkness to perpetrate the alleged molestation.
Following the incident, two suspects have been detained by the police, while a third remains at large.
The vehicle believed to have been used in the commission of the crime has been seized by the police from the Fatasil Ambari police station.
The incident has prompted authorities to intensify efforts to ensure the safety and security of residents, with a focus on preventing such incidents from recurring in the future.
