Guwahati, 2nd November: In a shocking incident which has occurred in Guwahati, where a woman was the victim of an attempted immolation by her in-laws.
The terrifying incident unfolded in the Bagharbari area of the city when the woman’s mother-in-law allegedly stole her gold ring, sparking a heated dispute.
The woman managed to escape from her in-laws and reached the Satgaon police station, where she reported her ordeal.
Her husband, Hirak Jyoti Pathak, has been implicated in the case.
A police report has been filed against him and the in-laws involved in the incident.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the alleged theft of the gold ring and the subsequent violent action.
