Guwahati, 23rd March: The lifeless body of a youth was found at House No. 40 on Shankar Path, near the Hatigaon locality.
The deceased, identified as Pradeep Das from Ghilamara in Lakhimpur, was employed at a local restaurant.
Preliminary information suggests that Pradeep Das lived in the rented accommodation with a friend.
However, the circumstances surrounding his death remain obscure, prompting the presence of Hatigaon police at the scene. An ongoing investigation seeks to shed light on the incident.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Pradeep’s brother provided insights into the tragic event, stating, “My brother had recently begun working at Café 90s and had been here for about 20 days. Yesterday, he spoke to me and appeared perfectly fine. However, today around 6:30, his roommate called me, informing me that my brother had ceased breathing and urged me to come quickly. Both the police and magistrate arrived, but as of now, no cause has been determined. We will have to wait for the results of the post-mortem examination to ascertain whether it was poisoning or some other factor.”
