Guwahati: The Haj Committee of India (HCI) released the online application form for this year’s Haj. The Haj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, to visit the ‘Kaaba.’
The deadline for submitting an application for Haj 2022 is April 22, 2022.
The HCI has released new criteria for Hajj 2022, which were announced by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. This year’s Haj is eligible to people under the age of 65 who have received the Covid-19 immunisation, which has been approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health, according to a circular dated April 9, 2022.
Pilgrims arriving from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must also submit a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test result obtained within 72 hours of their arrival in the country.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has also issued a circular instructing all pilgrims to follow the health recommendations and take all precautionary measures to protect their health and safety while completing Haj rituals, according to the circular.
Haj aspirants may also withdraw their applications for Haj 2022 if they no longer wish to participate in the annual trip as a result of the new criteria.
There are certain requirements to fill the online application for Haj 2022. The person intending to apply must have a computer or a smartphone with proper internet connection. Also he or she should have a valid mobile number and a valid email ID.
