Hanuman Idol In Temple Premises Vandalized, Burned in Assam’s Hajo
Guwahati: In an untoward incident, few unidentified miscreants have allegedly vandalized an idol of Lord Hanuman and later set it afire in Kamrup Rural district of Assam on Saturday.
The incident took place in the Patni village in Hajo town of the district.
According to reports, the unidentified miscreants fled from the spot after committing the crime.
Meanwhile, the Hindu community has voiced outrage over the incident and urged that the culprits be held accountable.
It may be mentioned that in the early hours of Saturday, the idol was allegedly defaced and set ablaze.
