Hardik Pandya sent for scans after hurting ankle against Bangladesh

Sports Desk, 19th October: India’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup journey campaign a troubling turn as renowned all-rounder Hardik Pandya sustained an ankle injury while bowling against Bangladesh on Thursday.

Pandya, during his follow-through, suffered an ankle injury while trying to field the ball, leading to him being unable to finish his over.

Following the incident, India issued a statement, revealing that Pandya had undergone scans and would not be able to return to the field during Bangladesh’s innings.

“Hardik Pandya’s injury is being assessed at the moment and he is being taken for scans,” the statement read.

In light of Pandya’s inability to complete his over, former captain Virat Kohli took the reins and delivered the final three deliveries.
