Harley-Davidson scraps Indian operation after huge loss
American Motorcycle manufacturing Harley-Davidson is set to shut down its manufacturing and sales operations in India due to its loss in Indian market. Poor sales record and a impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic forced the bike maker to exit the Indian market.
Harley-Davidson India sold less than 2,500 units in the last financial year which led a huge loss to the company. With the decision signed by Harley-Davidson about 70 employees are currently jobless. Harley-Davidson has a huge market in America and US but they failed to make to mark their in Indian motorcycle market.
