Guwahati: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sukhbir Khatana was shot dead by four to five armed robbers on Thursday in Gurugram of Haryana.
He was reportedly shot at by the shooters as he was browsing a nearby Raymond showroom.
Police informed that four to five people reportedly arrived and began shooting at him. Sukhbir was taken to the hospital after being critically hurt where he succumbed to his injuries.
The incident took place near Sadar Bazar on Gurudwara Road. The probe is underway, and the area’s CCTV is being examined.
According to the CCTV footage, two suspected assailants attacked the BJP representative, before escaping the scene. One was seen sporting a red t-shirt, while the other was dressed in white.
