Head of The World’s Largest Family Ziona Chana dies in India’s Mizoram State
A 76- year old man from Mizoram named Ziona Chana who was believed to be the head of the world’s largest family has died in Mizoram on Sunday, leaving behind 38 wives, 89 children and 36 grand children.
Chief Minister of Mizoram, Zoramthanga confirmed the news of Chana’s death. He was reportedly suffered from diabetes and hypertension, as his condition was deteriorated at home in his village, Baktawng Tlangnuam. After he rushed to hospital om Sunday evening, where he was declared dead.
Chana’s mansion is a major tourist attraction in the state, with people from around the world thronging the village to get a peek into the family lifestyle. The family lives together in a four-storied house called “Chuuar Than Run” with 100 rooms. He’s fascinating life has grabbed several headlines over the years.
