Health Ministry to Launch Mega Blood Donation Drive on PM Modi’s Birthday
Guwahati: The Union Health Ministry will launch a massive drive for voluntary blood donation as part of the 16-day commemoration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday from September 17 to October 1.
Donors can sign up to donate blood on the ministry-launched E-Rakt Kosh webpage or the Arogya Setu app.
Taking to Twitter Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, “Blood Donation for Humanity. Rakhtdaan Amrit Mahotsav is going to start on 17th September. Donate by registering on Arogya Setu App today or Register yourself for blood donation by visiting https://eraktkosh.in. Let us take a pledge to donate life by donating blood with our participation in this campaign.”
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will observe Seva Pakhwara, or “service fortnight,” in honour of Prime Minister Modi for 16 days beginning on September 17.
Programs will include tree-planting drives, cleanliness campaigns, blood drives, free check-up clinics, and district-level exhibitions on PM Modi, among other things.
