Heavy Rainfall in Arunachal And Assam Till May 5
Guwahati, 3 May: Areas of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam are expected to experience heavy rainfall until May 5. The IMD has forecast thunderstorms and strong winds for many states from today after which they will be less common.
IMD additionally predicted that Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and the western Himalayan area would experience heavy rain and hailstorms from tomorrow.
In many states, rain has drastically decreased the temperature. The national capital saw its second lowest day in May in 13 years when the maximum temperature was recorded at 26.1 degrees Celsius, 13 degrees below usual for this time of year. The maximum temperature on Tuesday was 10 degrees below average for the summer when the mercury typically climbs over the course of the month, for the third day in a row.
The IMD blames the nation’s widespread heavy rainfall to a western disturbance. For the next two days, India’s temperatures will remain below to somewhat near normal, according to the IMD forecast. It continued by stating that India would not experience any heatwave conditions.
