Heroin Worth Around Rs 1 Cr Seized, 2 Arrested in Manipur
Guwahati: Manipur police arrested two drug paddlers in a major haul on Friday, as per officials informed.
According to reports, two drug smugglers were apprehended in Manipur’s Kakching district as a result of an operation based on particular tips.
The smugglers’ possession of 809 grams of heroin was recovered by police. According to officials, the haul is estimated to be worth about Rs 1 crore.
According to them, the car was stopped and examined at a checkpoint beneath the Pallel police station, and drugs were discovered hidden inside.
The car allegedly tried to flee after being requested to halt for inspection, according to the police.
However, they were able to stop the car and search it, which allowed them to recover the drugs. They mentioned that 65 soap cases were used to transport the heroin.
The Kakching police were then given the confiscated illegal narcotics and the two arrested smugglers for further investigation.
