Guwahati: A huge quantity of illicit heroin was found at Paltan Bazar Railway Station in Guwahati On Saturday.
Government Railway Police (GRP) officers intercepted 1kg of heroin on the Rajdhani Express.
According to reports, three persons have been arrested in connection to the seizure.
The heroin that was found is suspected to have a market worth of about Rs. 5 crore.
Along the border between Assam and Mizoram, a Bolero truck in Karimganj last week yielded heroin worth Rs 12 crore.
The driver was arrested in connection with the incident and identified as Samil Uddin.
