Himachal CM Reviews Preparedness For Covid-19 In State
Guwahati: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu gave strict instructions to the health department officials to monitor the number of COVID cases in the State.
The chief minister gave the officials instructions to maintain the state apparatus prepared for any potential increase in COVID-19 cases.
A meeting of health officers was being led by the chief minister to assess the COVID situation in the state. He stated that it is also important to strengthen the genome sequencing of samples from positive case studies. He said that a specific vigil must be kept to encourage tourists to behave in a COVID-appropriate manner while they are in the State.
Sukhu said that People who exhibit flu-like symptoms need to be tested for COVID so that treatment can begin as soon as possible. He stated that the State’s healthcare institutions must assure adequate testing.
The Chief Minister was briefed by Principal Secretary for Health Subhasish Panda that the State has 2,046 COVID beds and over 2,526 dedicated beds with oxygen. He promised that measures would be taken to guarantee that there would be enough COVID vaccinations available.
Officials informed the CM that there were only 28 COVID instances that were still active throughout the State and only three of those were hospitalised.
