Guwahati, 12th April: In anticipation of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the introduction of ‘Mama Ki Warranty’ to complement the existing ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’.
Taking to his social media handle, Sarma emphasized that their promises are not merely written on paper but are commitments to be fulfilled diligently. He affirmed that ‘Mama Ki Warranty’ aims to ensure the welfare of the people of Assam, alongside the guarantees under the banner of PM Modi advocated by the BJP-led government.
As part of the election campaign, the state government, under Sarma’s leadership, has been advocating a series of guarantees aimed at various aspects of welfare, including extended Orunodoi, free medical care, life insurance, education for girls, foodgrain distribution, fair government recruitments, and support for women and youth entrepreneurs.
During a campaign rally in Kutuha, Dibrugarh district, the Chief Minister addressed crucial issues such as women empowerment and border security. He outlined ambitious plans to uplift the state’s youth and ensure territorial integrity.
Stressing the importance of education in nation-building, Sarma pledged significant financial support for girls pursuing higher education, aiming to empower them to contribute to the nation’s progress. Under his administration, girls enrolling in college will receive Rs 10,000, with an additional Rs 25,000 for university students, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for women.
