Himanta Biswa Sarma named among 40 star campaigners who will campaign for BJP candidates in MP
Guwahati, 27th March: As the Lok Sabha elections loom on the horizon, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled a formidable lineup of 40 prominent leaders set to campaign for its candidates in Madhya Pradesh.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma joins a star-studded list that includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP Chief Jagat Prakash Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and former BJP Chief Nitin Gadkari, among others.
The campaign efforts will also feature the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, MP BJP Chief Vishnu Dutt Sharma, and several other state and national leaders, including Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Under Election Commission guidelines, a ‘recognized’ party can designate a maximum of 40 star campaigners. The BJP’s campaign roster reflects a strategic blend of seasoned veterans and emerging leaders, poised to engage with the electorate across the state.
Notably, while the BJP has finalized candidates for all 29 Lok Sabha constituencies in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress party has announced candidates for only 10 constituencies thus far.
With the Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh slated across the initial four phases, commencing on April 19 and spanning until May 13, the political arena is set for a dynamic and spirited contest. As nomination filing kicks off on Wednesday, the stage is set for a vigorous electoral battle in the state’s constituencies, with the BJP’s star campaigners poised to amplify the party’s message and mobilize support ahead of the polls.
