Guwahati: On the occasion of Holi and Dol Jatra, the Assam government has announced Saturday (March 19) as a local holiday in the Kamrup (Metro) district.
The Commissioner and Secretary of the Assam Government issued a notification on Thursday informing the public of this.
As a result, all State Government offices, financial institutions, educational establishments, and other entities under the Kamrup (Metro) district will be closed on that day.
The Negotiable Instructions (NI) Act of 1881 was used to make this judgement.
