Hospital Technician Arrested in Gurugram ICU Following Sexual Assault Allegations

National: A wave of shock and concern has rippled through Gurugram as a hospital technician stands accused of sexual assault.

The alleged crime occurred within the sterile confines of an Intensive Care Unit at a private medical facility, where a 46-year-old air hostess was a patient.

The Gurugram Police have confirmed the arrest of the technician, identified as Deepak, a resident of Muzaffarpur.

The formal complaint, which triggered the swift police action, was lodged on April 14th at the Sadar Police Station, detailing the harrowing experience of the survivor.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Arpit Jain addressed the gravity of the situation, stating, “We received a sexual assault complaint on April 14 pertaining to a private hospital.

Following the FIR registration, the accused technician…was taken into custody.” He further revealed that Deepak had been working at the hospital for about five months and that a dedicated Special Investigation Team has been promptly assembled to ensure a thorough and impartial inquiry.

The survivor, whose professional duties brought her to Gurugram for training, found herself in the hospital due to health issues arising from a distressing drowning incident.

Adding to the outrage, the alleged assault reportedly took place while she was particularly vulnerable, receiving critical care and dependent on ventilator support within the ICU.

In response to the serious allegations, the hospital management has taken immediate action by suspending the accused technician.

This measure underscores the institution’s commitment to cooperating fully with the ongoing police investigation and maintaining the safety and well-being of their patients.
