Guwahati: In its most recent cabinet meeting, the Assam government resolved to provide scooters to 35,800 male and female HS students.
A student must receive a score of at least 75% on the HS exam in order to qualify for a scooter.
Earlier, Ranoj Pegu had stated that students who did not receive the required marks would not be eligible for the scooter.
However, he had also remarked that there were students who had received qualifying marks but did not get the scooter in earlier years.
Amidst other decisions, the cabinet announced that the Hyatt Group will build a new hotel in Kaziranga. This follows the revival of the cabinet permission.
