HSLC Results 2023: Education Minister Ranoj Pegu Addresses Press Conference in Dhemaji
Guwahati, 22 May: Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu addressed a press conference soon after the HSLC results were announced. The education minister thanked the teaching community saying he was happy with the announcement of the results.
Ranoj Pegu also mentioned that 72.69 per cent pass percentage this year as against 56 per cent passed last year, indicates that the results of HSLC is better this year than before. This year the results of government schools are good and this also indicates the transformation of the education system.
The minister also said that this time the results of Assamese medium schools are also good. And the HSLC results have been announced sooner than last time. Higher secondary results will take some more time as about 1 lakh 30 thousand students are more in higher secondary this time than before.
While asking about the declaration of the results of HSLC suddenly, the Education Minister stated that, “even if the date was not announced clearly in this regard, not suddenly, there was an early indication that this time the results of HSLC will be declared earlier than before.”
However, the results were declared on May 30 last year and this time the results were declared on May 22.
