Guwahati: A huge amount of explosives have been seized by Assam Police from Rani village under Kamrup Rural district on Thursday night.
One person has also been arrested in connection to the seizure.
The arrestee has been identified as 32-year-old Jahrul Islam.
During a regular search, a Bolero pick up vehicle was intercepted in the area.
On checking the vehicle, a total of 2800 gelatin sticks and 1500 electronic detonators were seized.
Reports stated that Islam was intercepted at a naka checking when he was transporting the explosives from Rani to Meghalaya.
Further investigation is on.
