Guwahati: A huge quantity of ganja has been recovered from a train at Guwahati railway station on Wednesday.
During a routine check, the Guwahati Railway Police (GRP) seized 109 kilograms of ganja from a Howrah-bound Kamrup Express train that was stationed there.
According to reports, the ganja was recovered from an unattended big rucksack that was stored beneath a seat in the train.
It is learned that the drugs were being smuggled from Dimaour, however, it was seized at Guwahati.
No arrests have been made so far in connection to the seizure.
The estimated cost of the ganja is said to be around Rs 54 lakh.
Further investigation is underway.
