Husband of BJP Leader Files Case Against Alleged Accomplice in Suicide Case
Guwahati, 15th August: In a significant development, the husband of the late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha Secretary, Indrani Tahbildar, has filed a case against Anurag Chaliha, alleging his involvement in her tragic suicide. The case was registered under sections 120(B)/306/384 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Chandmari Police Station.
Anurag Chaliha, who was reportedly absconding, was apprehended from Demow in a joint operation by the city police team and Sivasagar police. He has been brought to Guwahati from Sivasagar for further investigation.
The incident revolves around the alleged suicide of Indrani Tahbildar on August 11, which came to light after an objectionable photo of her went viral on social media. It was reported that she had consumed a drug overdose.
Anurag Chaliha’s alleged connection with the case centers around his suspected extra-marital affair with Indrani Tahbildar. He was reportedly living at her residence as a tenant.
The legal proceedings are likely to shed light on the circumstances surrounding her tragic demise and any potential involvement of others in the incident.
