Hyderabad: Assam CM Sarma To Participate in Ganesh Immersion Shobhayatra
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been invited to the Ganesh Immersion Shobhayatra by the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti and Udupi seer Pejawar Swamy Dharmadhikari, and he will be in Hyderabad on Thursday, September 8.
In a conversation with ANI, General Secretary of the Utsav Samiti Bhagwanth Rao said, “On Ganesh Chaturthi, a chief guest is always invited. This year, we invited Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, and he accepted. A similar invitation has been sent to Dharmacharya Udipi Pejawar Swamy to join in the Ganesh festival.”
“We have devised extensive welcome plans for the Assam chief minister, including Ganesh mandaps. The promotion of Daivya Bhakti and Deshbhakti is the goal of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti. We have thus invited the Assam Chief Minister to attend the immersion Shobha Yatra, where he will speak as the chief guest,” he added.
According to the general secretary, CM Sarma would arrive for the ceremony this evening and depart on Friday because he has been requested to visit Khairatabad Ganesh.
We believe he will agree to see Khairatabad Ganesh, the tallest Ganesh idol, because we have also urged him to visit it. He will arrive on September 8 in the evening and depart on September 9.
The holiday of Ganesh Chaturthi honours the birth of Lord Ganesha. One of the most well-known Hindu holidays is this one. It is said that during these ten days of celebration, Lord Ganesha and his mother, Goddess Parvati, go to Earth and bestow their blessings on the populace.
