Hyderabad: TRS Leader Booked For Allegedly Slitting Woman’s Throat
Guwahati: A Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) member has been accused of assaulting a woman and attempting to sever her throat in a complaint filed in Hyderabad.
The leader has been identified as Vijay Sinha Reddy.
The incident reportedly occurred in Hyderabad’s Panjagutta area and the woman is currently receiving treatment and is in critical condition.
“We registered a FIR and a case has been registered against the 448, 324, 354(a), and 506 sections of the IPC,” area CI Harish Chandra Reddy stated.
According to reports, the police responded after a video of the woman writing while in pain and sporting cut wounds on her neck went viral.
She contacted me twice or three times at the hospital, where the police were also present, according to the woman’s husband. She said that Vijay Sinha, the Jublee Hills MLA’s PA, was the assailant.
He claimed, “He would repeatedly call my wife’s number. He would make nude video calls, according to what I’ve heard through their call logs.
“However, attacking after finding the residence address is surprising. She is now critical and unresponsive. She has now shared everything she was able to. He may be connected to the MLA, and we all know how rowdy-sheeters can be. They might hurt us once more, her husband added.
Meanwhile, Reddy has refuted the allegations and labelled it a hoax.
The TRS leader while addressing a press meet, “I am Borabanda division TRS party coordinator. For the past six years, I worked as a PA for former deputy mayor and current Borabanda division corporator Baba Fasiuddin. After witnessing his activities of extortion and acts of conspiracy, I left him and worked hard for the party’s development.”
“It came to my notice a week ago that he (Baba Fasiuddin) hatched a conspiracy and paid Rs 3 lakh to them (the woman and her husband) to file a case against me. Yesterday, a report was circulating that I attempted to murder the women at night around 1 am. I have evidence as to where I was at that point of time. Police are investigating by evening and all the facts will be let out by the police department,” he added.
