Hydraulic Pipe Explodes on AirAsia Flight in Lucknow
National Desk, 8 June: The hydraulic pipe of the Air Asia flight from Lucknow to Delhi exploded at 8:20 pm on Wednesday at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. Hydrolytic oil spilled in Ranhapur. All passengers were dropped off from the aircraft and the sudden incident on the plane caused panic among the passengers .
All the passengers were evacuated from the aircraft after the incident was reported. There were two options for the passengers, either take away their money or book their seats on the flight to East Delhi. A Delhi-bound flight I-5330 from Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport was cancelled at the final stage due to a leakage of hydraulic oil into the terminal.
The airline authorities return the ticket money to the passengers and also provide the option to book tickets for the next flight to Delhi the next morning. The AirAsia flight was cancelled due to the rupture of the pipe. The technicians of the airline started repairing the aircraft while the passengers going to Delhi had to face a lot of difficulties during this period.
Earlier in January, a Kolkata-bound flight from Lucknow made an emergency landing in Lucknow after a bird hit the plane when it took off from the airport. As a precautionary measure, the aircraft landed at Lucknow airport. There were 180 passengers on board including crew members. The dirty water coming out of the industrial area in front of the airport’s runway is still full even after water logging around the airport and the ban on fish and meat shops.
This is why a large number of birds roam around. Along with this, meat and fish shops have been openly set up in the market near the airport. This is the reason why there is a possibility of bird hitting a plane at Lucknow airport.
