J&K: IEDs Destroyed By Security Forces in Rajouri

Guwahati: As many as two EIDs were destroyed in a controlled explosion in Rajouri district of Jammu & Kashmir ahead of Republic Day on Monday.

According to reports, the two IEDs were discovered during a joint police, army and CRPF operation from Dassal village, 4 km from Rajouri town, on Sunday evening as a result of a wise tip.

The bomb disposal crew in the Chingus forest area controlled an explosion to destroy the recovered IEDs.

Meanwhile, security forces have increased screening and strengthened border and highway grids in anticipation of the upcoming Republic Day and the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra.

An alert was sent to the soldiers following the twin explosion on last Saturday.
