Guwahati: An Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati student allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room on Friday night.
The deceased have been identified as one Surya Narayan Premkishore.
According to reports, Premkishore was a Btech student.
The reason for him taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
According to reports, Kerala-native Surya was discovered hanged up in his dorm room. There was no suicide note found.
Amingaon police arrived on the scene shortly after and recovered the body for an autopsy.
Further investigation is on.
