Guwahati, 11 June: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held important meeting with the deputy commissioner of the state. Chief minister held meeting on Sunday via video conferencing. Superintendents of police of each district also participated in the meeting.
Chief minister gave strict instructions to the deputy commissioners in today’s meeting. Chief minister has ordered strict action against contractors. Orders to close all potholes on roads all over the state by Monday. Important orders to put up barricades at the construction site. The necessary measures will be taken only after seeing potholes on the roads of the state after the stipulated time. All departments including NDRF have been directed to remain alert for possible situation in the state due to rains.
Chief minister has also directed every superintendent of police to take strict action against the violators. Officials will be held accountable if there is negligence in the implementation of the scheme project. Instructions have been made to take appropriate action to the deputy commissioners so that they can take public complaints. The meeting also discussed the possible flood situation in the state. Officials from several important departments were present in the meeting.
