Guwahati: India records 6,155 new cases of COVID in the past 24 hours bringing the overall number of active cases to 31,194.
The daily positive rate was 5.63 percent crossing the five percent threshold. The health ministry said that the weekly positive rate was 3.47 percent.
According to data from the health ministry, the infection caused nine fatalities in India. Overall, there have been 5,30,954 fatalities.
According to reports by the ministry on Saturday, there were 4,41,89,111 persons who had been discharged altogether.
1,963 vaccination doses were registered in the last 24 hours. Since the cross-country immunization programme began on January 16, 2021, a total of 220.66 crore vaccinations have been administered.
