Guwahati: India recorded total of 20,279 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s overall covid tally to 4,38,88,755.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) the active cases increase to 1,52,200 on Sunday.
On the other hand, the death toll climbed to 5,26,033 with 36 new fatalities, the data updated at 8am stated.
As per the ministry, 0.35 per cent of the total infections comprises active cases while the recovery rate was recorded at 98.45 per cent.
As per the corresponding figures in the last 24 hours, latest daily caseload is over 2,100 cases and a total of 383,657 samples were tested on Friday. However, 20,279 tested positive.
In the last 24 hours, India has administered 201.99 crore doses of covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive, of which 71.8 million are precautionary or booster shots and 929.4 million are second doses.
