Guwahati: India reported 6,809 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases in the nation down to 55,114, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) .
According to reports, a total of 3,20,820 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, resulting in the discovery of the new cases, bringing the overall total to 88.71 crores.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in India has increased to 5,27,991.
In addition, 8,414 Covid-19 recoveries in India were noted in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,38,73,430.
Notably, the current recovery rate is 98.69%, and the percentage of active cases is 0.12%. The weekly positivity rate is 2.29 percent, while the daily positivity rate is 2.12%.
The total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered across the country is currently 213.20 crore, with 19,35,814 doses being administered in the past 24 hours as part of the widespread vaccination campaign.
