India to Host BWF Super 100 Tournament in Assam’s Guwahati

Guwahati: Guwahati in Assam is all set to host a Badminton World Federation (BWF) Super 100 event as India will host two more international badminton competitions.

Kerala will also host a junior international competition.

The Guwahati event will run from December 5 through 10 and the Odisha Open will take place from December 12-17.

Sanjay Mishra, secretary of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) expressed his gratitude to the BWF for permitting a new super 100 competition to take place in Guwahati beginning on December 5 in addition to the other tournaments at a news conference held in advance of the India Open on January 16.

Mishra continued by saying that a second junior international to be staged in Kerala has also been contacted.

”Our objective is that India can host a maximum number of tournaments so that our fringe players can take maximum benefit,” he added.
